Security Market Line
The SML is a line on a chart which serves as a representation of the Capital Asset Pricing Model. This shows a specific level of market risk for various types of asset, plotted against the expected return for the whole market at any point in time. The Market Risk Premium for any asset is determined by where it is plotted relative to the Security Market Line.
