Alan Corbin
Chairman and Non Executive Director

A member of the London Stock Exchange since 1960 Alan was a partner at Roger Mortimer and Company and became Managing Director of Sheppards and Chase (Channel Islands) Ltd when the companies merged in 1974. In 1984 he joined James Capel (Channel Islands) Ltd as Chief Executive where he remained for ten years before moving to Morgan Stanley Quilter as a Consultant.

In 2001 Alan became a founding member and shareholder of TEAM Asset Management. Alan is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Ben Shenton - FSI
Director

Ben has been involved in the investment management industry for 30 years. He joined the investment department of Barclaytrust International Limited in 1978 and, after a brief spell in London working for Laurie Milbank & Co., he returned to the Island to take up a position with Hambros Bank. After a period with James Capel (Channel Islands) Limited he was approached by a subsidiary of UBS to grow the investment and private banking operations of their Jersey office. Ben joined Quilter & Co in 1997 as a Divisional Director and was promoted to Vice President when Quilter & Co. was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 2001. He remained at Morgan Stanley Quilter until 2005, managing discretionary and advisory funds for private clients, trusts, pension funds, and collectives.

Ben is a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute (FSI), Treasurer of the local SII Branch, and a Member of Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI).

In 2005 he was elected as a Senator in the States of Jersey Parliament for a 6 year term. The role of Senator is the most senior position within the States Assembly. Historically serving in the Island’s Government was an honorary position – however the current Parliament now consists of full-time, part-time, and honorary members. In 2007 he became Minister for Health & Social Services, the largest States Department, and he sits on the Council of Ministers, the equivalent of the UK Cabinet. In addition he holds a number of external directorships and sits as a trustee on two substantial pension schemes.

Peter Wells – MSI
Director

Peter has worked in the investment industry since 1983 following on from a successful career in mainstream banking, involving securities and investments. Following the takeover of Laurie Milbank & Co. by Chase bank in 1986 he remained one of three principal investment managers within the company locally, until its closure due to a global rationalization in 1990. After 4 years with an investment management house and stockbroker he joined Morgan Stanley Quilter in 1995, managing discretionary and advisory business for intermediary and private clients until joining TEAM Asset Management in November 2005 as a director and shareholder.

Peter is a Member of both the Securities and Investment Institute (MSI) and Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI).

Carl Corbel
Director

Carl has been involved in the investment industry since joining Kleinwort Benson Jersey in 1979 as a trainee in the treasury department. After spells at BNP Paribas and Bank of America he spent 10 years with the UBS Jersey which included a six month secondment training period at UBS London. Carl ultimately became Treasury Manager with overall responsibility for the full branch and associated subsidiaries. After a 7 year spell at Standard Bank Jersey specialising in proprietary foreign exchange trading and treasury products he joined TEAM Asset Management in October 2006 as a director and a shareholder.

Carl is a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute (MSI) and a Member of the Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI).

Howard Carr
Director

Following on from a career in mainstream retail banking and internal audit, Howard entered financial markets trading in 1986 and has since gained extensive and broad based derivatives, treasury and investment management experience spanning across three continents. After an initial period in the treasury areas of Charterhouse Bank and ANZ Grindlays in Jersey, Howard left the Island in 1988 for Australia and ultimately became the Chief Foreign Exchange Dealer for ABN Amro in Sydney and later Credit Suisse in Melbourne. In 1995 Howard relocated to London becoming the Global Head of Foreign Exchange for Credit Lyonnais Rouse, and in 1999 transferred to New York as Director - Foreign Exchange Trading. In 2001 Howard returned to London to work for the US investment and securities house Prudential-Bache, in a role encompassing an overall responsibility for all derivatives trading and sales activities within the European region, and in 2003 was as Director, Global Derivatives. In 2005 Howard returned to Australia to take up various assignments including low leverage trading, global FX / derivatives consultancy, product advisory and training.

Howard has since returned home to Jersey in May 2008, and joins TEAM Asset Management as a director and shareholder.

Kerry Warwick - MSI

Kerry has been involved in the investment management industry for 4 years since joining Theta Enhanced Asset Management in July 2004 as a trainee portfolio manager. Since then she has completed her Certificate in Securities and been awarded both her Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Diploma in Investment Compliance and now manages both Institutional and Private clients within TEAM.

Kerry is a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute (MSI) and Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI).
